Bottles for your collection
I love an eye catching bottle and the collection I have built up over the years looks great on my display. There have been a lot of new bottles over the last few years and yes they have been added to my collection. Me personally I like a variety of drinks but mainly like a brandy at home, vodka before and while I go out, Rose Champagne when I am celebrating and last but not least tequila when I do shots. Anyway, back to the eye catching bottles…
The first bottle which I will discuss in one of the newest to my collection and if I D’usse say myself is a stand out bottle. D’usse is a cognac, which not only tastes great but the bottle is innovative and shape is one of a kind. It is a new drink with a very classic looking bottle with the historic Cross of Lorraine on the front, which can be described in many ways. D’usse likes to say it’s a symbol of honour, courage and perseverance. Jay Z has promoted a great tasting cocktail called ‘Ace X D’usse’ comprising of Ace of Spades Gold mixed with D’usse, flavours complement each other brilliantly.
This brings me onto my next Bottle – Armand De Brignac’s Rose…. Which Champagne has not only won awards but is packaged in a stunning bottle originally developed by Cattier for the André Courrèges fashion house. All labels for each bottle of Armand de Brignac are made of real pewter, polished and applied by hand. Each Armand Rosé bottle is packaged in a black, highly polished, veneer wooden gift box. This along with my other ‘Ace of Spades’ bottles are amongst the most talked about with friends and family visiting my house. If you haven’t got it already what are you waiting for?
The Last bottle I will discuss is the newest to my collection…. I love a tequila shot and mainly stick to Patron Resperado whose bottle is great, but when I saw this bottle I had to have it on my mantel piece. DeLeón is a bottle with a lid which is second to none and comes in a square bottle which could be described as a large perfume looking bottle. The good news is that this high end bottle is not only great in design, but is Tequila filled with purity. With no added chemicals and draws its supply directly from three natural spring wells located on the DeLeón land. So it is not only a stand out bottle but is one filled with superb Tequila.
What bottles do you think have innovated design? I love to add new bottles to my collection so please tell me what you have…. Old and new!!!!
Courvoisier Rose – A great compromise For Couples #gamechanger
Nights in as a couple can consist of a movie, some popcorn and a bit of alcohol to help with the romance. I personally like to drink a nice brandy on the rocks while at home and my girlfriend likes a glass of red. The only thing is we have to get two bottles with neither of us prepared to compromise on each other’s choice of alcohol. Then came along Courvoisier Rose and it now feels like the problems is solved.
Courvoisier Rose is described as a great blend of cognac and premium French red wine and boasts a wide range of flavours: notes of blackberry, black currant, and a touch of cherry are complemented by vanilla, honey, and vine-peach flavours. Me I like to describe simply as a game changer, solving my problem and hopefully couples problems across the world.
Being a Courvoisier lover when I first saw it, it immediately caught my eye and was not too long after on my shopping list. I called up my girlfriend who not surprisingly wasn’t as excited as me, but she agreed to give it a go. I came home with the drink and we had it on our Friday night in while watching the not so romantic Captain America 2. We both love Marvel but that’s another story.
I poured the drinks and was hoping for us both to like it…. But I was sceptical because I am used to drinking 40%, Courvoisier Rose being 18% and my girlfriend is used to a glass of Merlot. I had a cheeky taste first in the kitchen before bringing it in the living room and I loved it. Now came the second taste tester and to my delight she loved it as well.
This is why it has to be called the game changer, it will certainly be the bottle we will drinking from now on and if you haven’t tried to only question you need to ask yourself is why?
